The built-in automatic air flow means that you do not have to do a lot: drag-out your household vacuum, struggle to connect the hose, plug the vacuum in the outlet, plug the haircutter in the outlet, turn-on the vacuum, turn-on the haircutter, turn-off the haircutter, turn-off the vacuum always in that sequence as you do the haircut.
Instead, simply plug-in only one electric cord and turn on only the haircutter switch. You are already doing the haircut and you do not have to mind the vacuum! The airflow and the clippings collection start and stop automatically. Never change bags, the high-tech filter requires to just tap the hair out every 20 or 30 haircuts. It is the ultimate convenience. As I write this, I remember: once I tried the Automatic I had to have it for myself and never looked back to the old vac.
